Land for rent

My Balinese friend has an interesting block of land. The land is 11m by 23m, ideal for a two story villa to maximise views of Jimbaran Bay and Benoa Harbour.. The land is south of Kuta next to Jimbaran Hills Resort ( Now closed ). Twenty minutes to the airport.  A ten year contract is available, with a possibility to extend, for Au$1500 per year. Book - Bali with Kids

This is a great little book not only for those with children but for all visitors to Bali. It has a wealth of things to do and see for all ages. The best part is the information for each activity, address, telephone, web site and email contact. At the moment it is only available from a few outlets in Bali. Bali Pool fences

First My original blog page vanished. I have had to resign. If anyone knows how to re instate it please drop me a line.


Many people ask about pool fences at villas. They are not common. Some places will erect a barrier made of an old tennis net or badminton net. They are not very strong. As I often have my grandchildren at the villa I decided to make an improvement. I constructed a frame and used strong shade cloth. Although still not as strong as a metal fence it has proven to be very effective. When the children are not at the villa it can be packed up and stored out of sight.
